about

"My music is like a diary. I write about events, about encounters, about issues in life that concern me, says Stefan Meylaers in an interview. A portrait as it were with compositions written between 2000 and 2005. Stefan Meylaers already dedicated Phaedra Volume 24 with works from the period 1995-2000. A real musical biography.

Meylaers writes very accessible music, but still original, nowhere cheap. He wants to profile himself broadly, be understood in his emotions and feelings, no complicated constructions, no far-fetched effects. A music that sings, that fascinates and that lasts very often. In this way the composer hopes to create involvement with the listeners.
